1) Our Medical Doctor (MD) at Advanced Medical Clinics has completed extensive medical training and residency programs. He is dual trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Fellowship trained in Pain Management and Non-Surgical Orthopedics. 

2) Our Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) is a member of the Alabama Board of Chiropractic Examiners and practiced with the neurosurgeons at UAB for 12 years. He is certified in extremities as well as certified to do joint and muscle injections. 

3) Our other Doctor of Chiropractic specializes in soft tissue (muscles, ligament, tendons, cartilage, fascia) she does IASTM - Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization.

4) Our Exercise Physiologist - Kinesiologist (EP) is a graduate of Lipscomb University. He specializes in custom rehabilitation programs

5) Our Addiction Counselor is an Emory grad with a degree in pastoral counseling. She has been the counselor for many of the local hospitals. She specializes in addiction.     

All services are self-pay. That is because virtually all the services done by Advanced Medical Clinics and its Doctors are not covered by insurance anyway so we decided to go completely self-pay. Following the No Surprises Act of 2022 guidelines, Advanced Medical Clinics will provide you a complete written list of procedures and treatments and all associated cost for your approval before we start any treatment(s) so you will not have any unexpected medical expenses. 

Notice: All appointments with Advanced Medical Clinics Doctors and Providers to include but not be limited to Helen Stoddart, MD; Greg Millar, DC; Joan Brown, DC; Kris Huggins, EP; or Bonnie Sims, ND MDiv, hereafter (the “Doctors and Providers”), are self-pay. Appointments with the Advanced Medical Clinics Doctors and Providers are not billed through insurance. The Doctors and Providers do not accept any insurance and do not file insurance paperwork on your behalf. However, they will provide you with a superbill receipt for services performed. This is not a guarantee of payment or reimbursement from anyone or any entity. The Doctors and Providers do NOT use traditional CPT codes for services rendered. Advanced Medical Clinics and the Doctors and Providers are not in-network with, or out of network provider for or a provider for any insurance company or government including State of Alabama or Federal Government health insurance programs or Private Health Insurance programs including but not limited to BCBS, United Health Care, Aetna, Humana, Cigna, Veteran Administration (VA), Tricare, Medicare, Medicaid, Alabama Workers Comp or any others.

Advanced Medical Clinics and its Doctors and Providers do not accept or participate in the Medicare program. If you are a Medicare Part B beneficiary and wish to become or continue as a patient of Advanced Medical Clinics and its Doctors and Providers, you hereby accept the terms and conditions set forth herein as a Private Contract between YOU and the Doctors and Providers. This Private Contract provides that all appointments and services are self-pay, and absolutely no Medicare payment(s) will be made to you or to the Doctors and Providers or to Advanced Medical Clinics for the services provided, even if such services are covered by Medicare. You further agree not to submit any charges, payments, superbills or statements of treatment to Medicare for any reason as that would be fraud as all treatments fall under the Private Contract established herein. If you do not agree with this Private Contract then you will inform the doctor before any services are rendered and you will not become or continue as a patient of Advanced Medical Clinics. 

The simple answer is yes. We do offer payment plans. We charge No Interest as long as your payments are made in a timely manor as agreed. Most plans call for a down payment and a monthly payment. We also offer Care Credit and other financing plans that do charge interest. 

The Medical Doctors at Advanced Medical Clinics DO NOT prescribe narcotic pain medications or Benzodiazepines. The medical doctors do prescribe other medications as needed for the treatment of our patients. By using other techniques and remedies to control your pain we strive to get you off all pain medications and benzos. That's why we're called the Anti-Pain Clinic. 

We offer a range of diagnostic tests. We have some testing inhouse and others we order in local hospitals, labs and imaging centers.  This includes Lab test, Blood tests, DNA test, X-rays, CAT Scans, MRI's, Color Doppler Ultrasounds, Digital Range of Motion testing, Digital Muscle testing, Electromyogram (EMG's), and Nerve Conduction Studies. Our doctors will recommend the most appropriate test for your specific needs.

No Doctor can ethically say that every patient gets great results. Results Vary patient to patient, condition to condition. But. we are very encouraged and even impressed by just how good many of our patients feel after going through our program. But all medicine has side effects. We just try to keep those side effects to a minimum. All patients also have limitations in healing such as physical, emotional, mental, musculoskeletal, degeneration and deterioration, environmental, vitality, and other co-morbidities or medical conditions. The good news is we have successfully treated many patients and helped them out of pain. Hopefully we can do the same for YOU.
